TANGAROA FREEDIVING ROTTERDAM DEN HAAG NL
We are Tangaroa, we are passionate freedivers. Our mission is to make freediving safe, fun and accessable for everyone. We teach in small groups with lots of personal attention. It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned water hero or a bit afraid of the water. We will adjust our programme accordingly so that you can make the best out of it.
Martin is a more than competent instructor and makes every session fun and interesting, even if participants face difficulties. The learning curve he facilitates is so steep that I made a 250% improvement in a one hour session. He manages to be around every single move you make in the water which makes you feel very safe. Doing this course at Tangaroa opened a new world for me so I have a new hobby. If you want to start freediving; Tangaroa is a great place to start!
I did the Freediving course with Martin and cannot recommend him enough. He took a lot of time to explain the technical and practical sides of freediving, gave a lot of advice on how to deal with all sorts of situations that you may encounter underwater. He was always very patient and soothing and did everything to get the very best performance out of you. For myself, who is very self-conscious and anxious, this was very needed since he knows how to talk the unnecessary negative thoughts out of you and motivates you to go a little deeper or longer if he thinks that you are able to do so. It was a lot of fun and a great experience. I learnt a lot about myself during this course.
Great training! As a surfer looking for the tools to tackle bigger waves, freediving helped me to understand how to train / improve the body to be at total ease in stressful conditions. Martin is a fontain of knowledge that wil take your game to the next level.
I can recommend the freedive course that I took with Martin from Tangaroa. You will learn a lot about freediving, both physically as mentally. I have been swimming for a long time, but I never managed to swim 2 lanes underwater. After the training from Martin I could swim almost 3 lanes underwater. My record for holding breath was 1.5 minutes and afterwards I could hold my breath for almost 4 minutes. Martin has a lot of knowledge and experience and is very enthusiastic to share this knowledge.
